Our Story.

Gala Rose Farms, LLC is located on 180 acres in the Finger Lakes region of New York State.

At Gala Rose Farms we are now into our sixth generation. As producers, we, as those who came before us, strive to produce the highest quality product possible. When it comes to our cattle, we want to provide our customers with animals that will add value and quality to their operation.

After raising cattle for years, including high end registered black angus, we started our Wagyu line of cattle in 2014 with the purchase of embryos from Ralph Valdez of Crescent Harbor Ranch in Washington State. Ralph is one of the first breeders of black Wagyu in the United States and is known all over the world for his contribution to the Wagyu breed.

Our Mission.

Our first Wagyu calves were born in the fall of 2015. We are now focusing on building a herd of 100 registered, recessive-free, fullblood Japanese Black Wagyu cows. We utilize embryo transfer and AI breeding to improve our cattle with every mating, so we can offer the best genetics possible.

We raise our cattle in an intensive grazing operation with a focus on providing a quiet and humane environment to promote a naturally healthy animal without the additive use of antibiotics or hormones.
